I was sitting down reading the Saturday paper this morning when I realized something quite significant. As I was reading through articles detailing why Canada's Tar Sands were a global nightmare of pollution I realized that it wasn't the fault of Canadians. In fact, private companies who have exploited the Tar Sands for profit are the ones to blame. I also realized that as we, real people become more educated about the environmental, and the human, damage that the Tar Sands cause, the more we are going to force private companies to shut it down.
That's it I thought.
Knowledge and education are key elements of understanding but marketing is also ridiculously important too!
For example, Copenhagen is a marketing vehicle for saving humans from the destruction of our world by private companies with short term interests.
Now you are probably wondering what this has to do with Modrobes clothing?
Well, there are fabrics out there that do a better job of protecting and outfitting humans than the sort of toxic(how they are made) fabrics that are out there now. But people are not aware of these fabrics and no one has marketed them in the past.
Why? Mainly because these fabrics are new and slightly more expensive because they don't cheat the environment in the process of making them. However, what they do is feel good, look good, perform like your own skin and biodegrade afterward into harmless obscurity! Sweet, I know. I'm excited.
However, with more knowledge and then marketing, these fabrics will become the fabrics of choice once we become more evolved as a holistic economy. After all the earth is a limited resource.
So what does this mean now? It means that in Spring 2010 Modrobes will be introducing some of the most innovative fabrics in the world and we're going to need to be doing some serious marketing in order to get people to understand why these fabric are simply incredible!
Now what does this have to do with you? Well, nothing really. I just wanted you to know because I'm betting my entire business on the fact that people will love these fabrics and that the real challenge for Modrobes is making things smarter, better and cleaner!
Enjoy!
