I hate photoshoots!

At Modrobes, one thing that we have never been good at is photo shoots.  Somehow, throughout our history our clothing never comes out as good as it feels to wear it. Maybe it's that each person puts a different, unique look to our garments or maybe I am just not good at photography and still unwilling to pay thousands on creating a fantastical if completely unreal image.

But isn't that what fashion is about you say?

Well, not for us. The term "keeping it real" has a lot of meaning here. People aren't perfect. Perfect is boring and it never lives up to the fantasy it portrays. Modrobes is about building garments that don't look perfect when you first put them on sometimes because we want you to wear them in, fit them into your wardrobe and create your own style over the years that they will last.  We don't want you disappointed at the fantasy that will disappear the moment you walk out of the store. We want you to get dirty, scrape your knees and beat up our clothes on the way to a real life.

That said, here is our last minute shots for a Now magazine ad. This is Matt wearing the Williamsburg jacket(and no I wouldn't let him put gel in his hair) and SaraH(prepping her hair for the real shot) wearing the Riding jacket. Matt is an actor and bicyclist(or he is now!) and SaraH is our store manager who was a bike courier in a previous life. They are both better looking in real life! (and so are the jackets!)

Enjoy!
